I know – I know; Management By Wandering Around (MBWA) is a 1980s philosophy! The crazy thing is that inside sales is the perfect place to use it.

Here are some ideas;

• Grab a cup of coffee and slowly make your way through the team, chatting with anyone not on the phone.
• On your way to and from meetings walk through the aisle of inside salespeople
• Conduct your forecast meetings by rolling your chair up to people’s desks instead of meeting in your office

What you’re doing is planning intentional ways to have impromptu meetings. It is a great way to catch people doing good things!
