More Sales Success in 2013 – part 6, keep your commitments to yourself!

Most of the salespeople I know keep their commitments to other people; prospects, customers, boss, coworkers, family, etc. Yet they have difficulty keeping their commitments to THEMSELVES. Other people’s priorities take precedence over their own – almost every time!

Unfortunately this means that their priorities may NEVER be taken care of.

To put yourself in a position to have more sales success in 2013, you have to keep your commitments to yourself! Easy for me to say… not so easy to do.

Option 1 – make & keep calendar appointments with yourself, blocking off time for your own priorities.

Option 2 – have an accountability partner. Someone with the same activity objectives as you have, then although your still keeping your commitment to someone else – it serves you as well.

Your goal may be to keep the boat from floating away from the dock, but without the commitment of a knot in the rope on both the dock side and the boat means you will not achieve success.
