I’ve been hearing and reading “resilience” a lot lately and I’m thinking it’s not the right word to use. It’s too broad, to general, when it comes to looking at inside sales success.
Mirriam Webster’s 2nd definition is “an ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change.” Which is nice, yet doesn’t actually tell you HOW.
As an inside salesperson it’s great to be though of as resilient and you know it’s an important trait to cultivate. Yet, it’s difficult to describe what exactly it takes to actually be resilient.
That made me go back and think about what I’ve written about creating your own success in the past and came across this 6 Success Commonalities list I made in 2013.
- Work Ethic
- Courage
- Personal Responsibility
- Stretch Mentality
- Curiosity
- Positive Belief
I think it gives you the pieces you need to be resilient.
