choose AND follow your path for #InsideSales #Success

A lot of #InsideSales #Success comes down to not only choosing the path you’re going to take – it also means you have to follow the path to the end.

Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of inside salespeople picking their path at random, then turning around when they see a path that looks easier… brighter… more fun. Plus, doing that OVER and OVER and OVER again.

Not making an informed and deliberate choice of what path to follow.

Never following any of the paths to their destination.

Which means many inside salespeople are lost in the woods. Wandering aimlessly around.

FIRST choose your path:
> start with your destination in mind, knowing where you want to go makes choosing your path easier.
> look at multiple routes before starting off, ensure you’ve picked a path that makes your journey a smooth one – all the way from where you are to where you want to go.
> pick mile markers to celebrate once you’ve arrived, even though you’re not all the way to your destination.

NOW follow it!
> stock up on the supplies you’ll need and be ready to learn new skills along the way.
> sometimes it’s more fun to journey with someone else, who would make a good accountability partner – at least until your first mile marker?
> don’t be distracted by forks off your path, before taking a detour make sure you’re choosing the BEST way to arrive at your final destination.

Of course, it’s your #InsideSales #Success journey, you can always decide that you don’t want to make it to the destination you chose at the beginning and reroute yourself!
