Focus on RESULTS, use BEHAVIORS

If you are caught up in the activity – instead of focusing on the results you want, you are being busy instead of productive.

This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t DO the behaviors that will bring you success. Rather that you need to watch out and not be trapped looking at behavior statistics without results.

In fact, that is my second answer to “What would wreck someone’s success?”

I think of sales as a pyramid, we need a solid foundation – BUT you don’t stop building at the bottom level!

Dialing the phone for the sake of hitting a behavior mark doesn’t help you move to the next level. The magic begins to happen when the phone is answered.

Be sure you are focused on the result you’re trying to achieve, THEN look at what activity and inside sales behaviors will get you there.
