Are you agile? Be the differentiator (call out to @jillkonrath)

I was lucky enough to be sent an advance copy of Jill Konrath’s new book Agile Selling (which comes out May 29, 2014 – and is available for preorder now!). This past Saturday was a gray, cold, and rainy day – so I curled up on the couch with highlighters, tabs, and the book.

6 critical ideas, 7 things that will expand how I train salespeople, and 39 tabs in 3 colors that I still have to figure out what to do with later… I decided to use the blog between now and the book launch to solidify my thinking around the content I’d just read.

Thank you for joining me on this journey!

Color Glasses....(5)Today – I want you to think about being the differentiator. The inside sales leader who is engaged with their sales team both collectively and individually.

Be involved in your salespeople’s day: their deals, their goals, their struggles, their successes.

Take a break from gathering information for that important report – without the people on your team being successful you have nothing to report on.

Step back from how you do your job today – reevaluate anything that doesn’t include engagement with your team.

Look around you – are the people who work for you glad to be on your team?

Spend 5 minutes with each person – know what is important to them vs. what is important to you.

Be the differentiator in the sales leadership of your company. Be the person who’s daily activity creates positive change. Be the leader who looks for the ever changing best practices vs. talks about how we’ve always done it.

Want more … of course you do … well:
